Brunei Darussalam and the United States of America continue to enjoy a strong and enduring partnership, built on shared values, cooperation, and people-to-people ties. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Brunei Darussalam stated the matter at the 250th Anniversary of the United States' Independence celebration at the US Embassy in Bandar Seri Begawan, 10th June night.

In attendance were Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Coordinating Minister for National Security, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence, and Datin. Her Excellency Caryn McClelland in her speech also expressed her appreciation for Brunei's warm hospitality and highlighted the strong people-to-people ties and shared values that underpin the longstanding partnership between both nations.
